Beautiful Wedding stars Virginia Gardner as Abby and Cole Sprouse as Travis, who get married after a crazy night in Las Vegas and then go to Mexico for their honeymoon with their family and friends (via People.) A sequel to Beautiful Disaster from 2023, the movie is directed by Roger Kumble who previously made other romantic films like Cruel Intentions and Just Friends. Beautiful Wedding is an adaptation of the novel A Beautiful Wedding by Oklahoma romance novelist Jamie McGuire.
8It Ends With Us

It Ends With Us is an upcoming romantic comedy directed by Justin Baldoni, who previously directed Five Feet Apart and Clouds. It Ends With Us stars Blake Lively as Lily, who believes she has found true love with Ryle, played by Baldoni. However, when a painful incident triggers past trauma, she must decide if love alone can carry her through. Things are further complicated when her first love reappears in her life. The production of It Ends With Us was delayed due to the 2023 WGA Strike and the movie is due to be released in February 2024 (via Deadline.)
7Challengers

Challengers is an upcoming sports rom-com starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist. Directed by Luca Guadagnino, who has previously made Call Me By Your Name and Bones and All, Challengers follows three tennis players who knew each other as teenagers competing in a tennis tournament (via MGM.) Challengers steamy trailer implies a love triangle between the film’s stars and has the potential to break a 19-year-old box office record. This film was originally set to be released in September 2023, but this date was pushed several times due to the 2023 WGA Strike (via Deadline.)
6L’Amour ouf

L’Amour ouf is a French musical romantic comedy by actor turned director Gilles Lellouche, he previously directed the 2018 comedy Sink or Swim. L’Amour ouf spans 20 years and follows two teenagers, one from an upper-middle-class family and the other from a working-class family, who fall madly in love in a doomed romance. This film features stars Adèle Exarchopoulos and François Civil and is based on the 1997 Irish novel Jackie Loves Johnser OK? by Neville Thompson (via AlloCiné.) Lellouche has described the film as “ultra-violent” and it has an over three-hour runtime (via Premiere.)
5A Family Affair

A Family Affair stars Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron and tells the story of a young woman named Zara who works as an assistant to the movie star Chris Cole, that is until Chris falls in love with her mother. Directed by Richard LaGravenese who previously wrote The Fisher King, The Bridges of Madison County, and Disenchanted, A Family Affair was originally set to come out in November 2023 on Netflix, but this date was postponed amid the 2023 WGA Strike (via Tech Radar) and now it will be released at some point in 2024.
4Irish Wish

This upcoming fantasy romantic comedy starring Lindsay Lohan is directed by Janeen Damian and written by Kirsten Hansen. Irish Wish follows Maddie Kelly who is in love with her engaged best friend James Thomas, played by Ed Speleers. When asked to be the bridesmaid at Ed’s wedding she puts her feelings aside to attend the ceremony in Ireland (via Netflix.) This will be Lohan’s second film for Netflix following the release of the holiday rom-com Falling for Christmas and is part of a two-picture deal she made with the streaming service (via Netflix.)

The Idea of You is a romantic comedy starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine that is based on a novel of the same name by Robinne Lee. Due to be released by Amazon Studios at some point in 2024, it tells the story of a 40-year-old single mom taking her 16-year-old daughter to Coachella (via EW.) Things take an unexpected turn when she finds romance with the 24-year-old singer of a famous pop boyband band. The film is directed by Michael Showalter, who co-created Wet Hot American Summer, Search Party, and directed The Big Sick.
2Wallbanger

Wallbanger is an upcoming adaptation of Alice Clayton’s rom-com novel of the same name. Wallbanger tells the story of interior designer Caroline, played by Kelli Berglund, who appears to have moved into the perfect apartment, only to be awoken every night by her wall-banging neighbour (via Variety.) Wallbanger is directed by Tosca Musk, who previously directed Driven and The Matchmaker’s Playbook. Wallbanger will be released by Passionflix and is expected to come out in late winter or early Spring 2024 (via What to Watch.)
1A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow

An adaptation of the New York Times bestselling novel by Laura Taylor Namey, A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow stars Maia Reficco, Kit Connor, and Kate del Castillo (via Deadline.) The film tells the story of Lila Reyes who, after the death of her grandmother, leaves Miami and spends the summer cooking at her aunt’s inn in Winchester. Here she falls in love with the British countryside and a romance ensues with a charming tea shop assistant. A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow is directed by Katherine Fairfax Wright in their feature debut and is produced by Ace Entertainment.
